Our Training Programme is a direct response to the needs of the Voluntary & Community sectors in the Nottinghamshire district of Ashfield. 

This includes Information events, Awareness Raising Events and training that enables groups and organisations to develop their serices effectively and motivate individuals (Capacity Building events)

Recent events include:

Planning your future (exploring funding issues, forward planning etc.)

Effective Meeting Skills

Managing Agression & Violence

Developing a Community Newletter and a host, to numerous to list here of events which are managed in our quarterly programme.

There has also been a number of events which focus on legislation requirements i.e. Fire Safety, levels 1 & 2 (CIEH) accredited)

New Licensing & Gambling requirements

an awareness around the Smoke-Free agenda

First Aid (CIEH accredited)

and Health and Safety in the workplace (CIEH accredited)

Ashfield Links Forum received funding from Enable to develop a Resource Base available to voluntary/community groups in the Ashfield District.This resource base is available for you to hire any equipment you need to help with events, training, promotion or just some administration you need to do.

How do I hire equipment?

Simply email wendy@ashfieldlinks.org.ukand let her know what you wish to hire out and when you wish to hire it.Wendy will then send you either by email, post or fax a Equipment Hire Request Form for you to sign and send back to us.

How do I collect the equipment?

The equipment will be available between 1pm and 4pm on the day of hire. Therefore, if you want to use the equipment in the morning you will need to hire it from the day before.
Please ensure that you bring the relevant deposit (if possible by cheque) and proof of address/ID, as without these we will be unable to hire the equipment.

If you need to be shown how to use the equipment please advise a member of staff when collecting the equipment.  Please ensure that you allow additional time when collecting the equipment for this purpose.

Deposits

The deposit required varies depending on the piece of equipment hired.  If paying by cheque this will either be destroyed or returned to you when the equipment has been checked upon its return

Returning EquipmentThe equipment must be returned

between 9am and 12 noon in good working order so that another group may hire it out on the same day.
