Step Ahead proprietor, Carol Hall, has over 12 years experience on management committees and for 5 years was responsible for the OnCourse Community Leadership Training Programme, a skills based programme designed to build relevant skills and encourage participation in the community. A Parent Governor for 5 years and, as part of this role, Carol has taken an active part in the Extending Services in and around Schools in Nottinghamshire initiative since September 2006, including the fledgling Parent Forum that is rising from that process.
Step Ahead was established to offer real opportunities for skill and knowledge development to groups and committees within organisations in the private, public, voluntary and related sectors. Its aim is to help committees become more effective.Carol is skilled in enabling others to build on their own personal development as well as encouraging practical use of communication and team building tools for greater team and committee effectiveness. She is a Licentiate member of the CIPD and holds NVQ IV in Human resource development, an Associate Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management and has a number of years experience in co-ordination and delivery of skill-based leadership training.
An intuitive person with a well honed ability to challenge and support individuals through their personal development process, Carol has previously has worked with adults with special learning needs. She has strong communication skills and is able to use these to excellent effect with a wide variety of personalities. Her skills in encouraging team collaboration are also an asset to clients of Step Ahead.
